Crewfather

Comparison

Crewfather vs Housecall Pro, for crews of two to ten

Housecall Pro is a mature product with a large customer base, and for a lot of shops it is a fine choice. If you run a small crew, the honest difference is how the two are priced: Housecall Pro includes a fixed number of users per tier and charges for every one beyond it, while Crewfather is one flat price for the whole organization. Every number on this page was read from Housecall Pro's own pricing page on August 24, 2026, with the crew size and tier named, because a comparison you cannot check is not worth your time.

What you actually pay as the crew grows

Housecall Pro's Essentials tier includes five users and MAX includes eight; past that, each additional user is a monthly charge. Billed monthly (August 24, 2026):

Crew sizeHousecall Pro, monthlyvs Crewfather Pro ($119 flat)
5 people$149 (Essentials, 5 included)1.25x
6 people$249 (Essentials + 1 user)2.1x
7 to 8 people$299 (MAX, 8 included)2.5x
9 people$374 (MAX + 1 user)3.1x
10 people$449 (MAX + 2 users)3.8x
Crewfather Pro$119, any team size$99/mo billed yearly

MAX undercuts the Essentials-plus-seats path from seven people up, which is why the table switches to MAX there. On Crewfather Pro the crew size does not change the price. Prices move and promotions come and go: check housecallpro.com/pricing yourself, and if a figure here has gone stale, tell us at support@crewfather.com and we will correct it.

Where Housecall Pro genuinely costs less

Housecall Pro runs its own payment processing, with card rates starting at 2.59%. If most of your revenue runs through cards, that integrated rate is a real advantage, and we would rather name it than pretend the comparison is one-sided. This page compares subscription cost only; card processing is billed separately from the plan on both products, so compare those rates directly for your own volume.
